stay at home mom

I was sitting trying to talk to my husband about the rough day that I had here with the kids. Now I love my husband but his next comment I wanted to smack him upside the head. he says "Your day couldn't have been that bad, you didn't have to work 10 hours." already frazzled from my day I snapped back, " I work 24/7, 365 days a year! Your clothes don't magically get washed, your dinner isn't prepared by a hired chef, your kids don't have a nanny, and you defintely don't have a housekeeper! so who do you think does all that!" In my husbands defense he was just trying to get me to see the big picture but in that moment with cheetos on my pants, flour on my belly from making bread, and my hair pulled into crooked pigtails from my girls playing I wanted to kill him. Stay at home moms are way too under-appreciated these days.We are frowned upon for not working and living off our husbands. I think that being a SAHM is the most important job a woman could ever have. I am absolutely blessed to have 3 beautiful children and the opportunity to watch them grow. so to all you other SAHM's remember how blessed you truly are in the midst of one of those crazy days!

Hairspray the movie

My children have now found a new obsession. Hairspray! I think its quite entertaining that if asked that is what they want to watch over and over again! I guess they long for a more simple life as well. On a brighter note we have all our decorations up and we are baking cookies and watching Christmas movies. I just love this time of year!

First Time Flying

I flew for the first time with my children(and without my husband) to visit family for Thanksgiving. It was hard work for the trip and the amount of stress that it takes to get ready! I think I will stick to drving from now on.

Always be a servant

We just got home from our morning service. I loved my sunday school lesson today. we talked aout how Jesus was a servant to his people even though he knew he was going to be crucified and even though he had all God's power because he came from God. It reminded me that we all should strive to be servants everyday. I think hardwork is lost in today society, and if you work hard and are a servant to God everything can e worked out.

saturday craziness

Hello everyone! Today has been a crazy day so far! this morning it was pouring rain so that means no outside time for my children. I am in the process of trying to teach my children the importance of quiet time! of course with a 5, 2 1/2, and 17 month old it's never quiet! My mom jokes it is always chaos here!
I decided that I would let the kids play with playdough while I got my morning housework done. It ended up making a big mess in dining room but it was fun anyways! i'm sure anyone who has small children can relate.
I am getting ready to start dinner. we are having porkchops, rice and gravy, green beans, mac n cheese and homemade yeast rolls!
